Wairau Valley Sauvignon Blanc
Vintage 2023
Description
Vineyards
Vintage
Sourced from grapes grown in prized vineyards throughout the Wairau Valley, this wine is a classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Powerful passionfruit and fresh herb aromas are followed by an explosive tropical palate and textural layered finish.
Coleman, Craiglochart, Pukekeo Springs, Marpo. A selection of Vineyards throughout the Wairau Valley, each contributing their own unique attributes to create this complex and flavourful wine.
Low frost pressure at bud burst and ample soil moisture from winter rains helped to deliver healthy crop levels and lush canopies to drive ripening. A cooler than average start to the growing season resulted in thick skins carrying the building blocks of what would become intense aromas and rich texture. The weather settled into a long period of warm days and cool nights, allowing for picking at optimal ripeness.

Marlborough

We produce a wide range of Sauvignon Blanc wines, all from the Marlborough region. With incredible vineyards located throughout Marlborough, each site gives us a wine of its own style. The style of Sauvignon Blanc from the Wairau Valley is ripe and tropical; a pungent style of passionfruit and guava notes that leap out of the glass.
