As the name suggests, the Seaspray Vineyard is situated on the coast of Marlborough's Awatere Valley. This beautiful yet sometimes harsh site is defined by stony and sandy soils, along with coastal winds that bring cool night-time temperatures. The influence of these unique growing conditions is vividly expressed in the wine, with distinctive aromas of lime, grilled capsicum, and freshly picked culinary herbs. A briny seashell note evokes a subtle minerality, while lively acidity carries through the palate, leading to a long, refreshing finish.
The 2025 vintage was marked by abundant yields and Marlborough's classic settled weather, which allowed for slow and even ripening. The result is elegant wines with exceptional purity and freshness.
The Seaspray vineyard is situated in the Lower Dashwood area, right on the coast at the northern end of Clifford Bay. From here, the view stretches northeast across the Cook Strait, approximately 60km to Wellington, New Zealand’s capital city.
