Single Vineyard | Marlborough
Taylors Pass Sauvignon Blanc
Description
Vintage
Vineyard
This classy New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc wine shows lifted aromatics of new-season blackcurrants and raspberries layered with lime zest, fresh sage, and coriander. The palate shows flavours of jalapeño and lemongrass, leading into a mouth-watering, saline finish with hints of white peach and basil.
The 2025 vintage was marked by abundant yields and Marlborough's classic settled weather, which allowed for slow and even ripening. The result is elegant wines with exceptional purity and freshness.
Taylors Pass Vineyard is located on the northern bank of the Awatere River in southern Marlborough. The vines here average 20 to 25 years of age. Sheltered from the prevailing cool easterly winds, the vineyard’s terraces display a diverse range of soils: deep silt over a clay-papa base at the highest point; silt and gravels through the middle sections; and gravels over large greywacke river stones closest to the river. This patchwork of soils creates varied ripening patterns, contributing depth and complexity of flavour and texture to the wines.
